the new parent Support GROUPS

Raise your hand if you feel under-supported in finding the time and energy to process the monumental transformative experience that is becoming a parent….

Us too!

That’s why we created the New Parent Diaries. As two therapists who love working with new parents, we are here to support you through this rite of passage. Whether you are interested in joining one of our support groups or adding an entry to our collective blog, we want to help you feel less alone by being more in touch with your self and other parents in the trenches alongside you.

Our groups are thoughtfully designed and expertly facilitated with you in mind: people along the journey of becoming a parent who want a space for their whole selves to be held, seen, and expressed. All of our groups incorporate somatic tools, expressive arts/ writing prompts, and group/pair shares to process with other folks in the same stage of the journey as you.

FULL CIRCLE: A Somatic & Expressive Arts Group for Expecting Parents

Expecting a baby is so much. It is a liminal time between two eras; a time to prepare physically, emotionally, & spiritually for a major transformative experience— all to be done while often feeling more exhausted than ever before. It is an initiation experienced by humans from time immemorial, and yet… our society doesn’t offer a collective way to move through this right of passage.

Full Circle is an offering for anyone who wants to feel less alone in their pregnancy/ baby expectancy. Gestational and non-gestational parents welcome!

This program was thoughtfully designed to help you:

  • Feel spiritually & emotionally held, connected to your baby and your body, and connected to others in a similar boat.

  • Make room for processing fears & needs about pregnancy, birth, and the transition to parenthood.

  • Tend to your spirit & nervous system during this transformational time.

Sliding Scale: $200—400 for 5 weekly sessions. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Our next group will meet Wednesdays at 1pm PT/ 4pm ET for 90 minutes, starting January 29.

HOMECOMING: A Somatic & Expressive Arts Toddler Parent Circle

Calling all toddler parents!

You’ve survived birth. You’ve made it through the fourth trimester. You’ve cut your teeth on so many firsts. And now your baby has transformed into a psychological mastermind. And maybe, just maybe, there’s a glimmer of your pre-parenthood self starting to peek through the cracks. Not only are you navigating the new terrain of toddlerhood, but you’re also putting the pieces of your identity back together… and probably getting triggered all the while. It’s a lot! We invite you to give yourself the gift of carving out a little bit of time just for you: to slow down, breathe, make contact with your body and your spirit, and process what just happened these last few years? Who am I now? How can I get clear and aligned with the parent I want to be?

Connect with a small, intimate cohort of other toddler parents, facilitated expertly by therapists and toddler parents Ellie and Amy. Tap into your creativity, your intuition, your inner child (and inner parent!). Gain tools for regulation for yourself and your kid. Let’s be in this together.

Sliding Scale: $300—500 / No one turned away for lack of funds. All are welcome!
